UC Woman Injured in Corry Car Crash

Pennsylvania State Police at Corry responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 6 at 3:13 p.m. Friday in front of Jim’s Automotive and Parts Plus, 13250 Route 6. Police reported that Rebecca Waddell, 28, of Union City, was traveling westbound on Route 6 behind Robert Brown, 45, of Corry, who was also traveling west on Route 6 with two passengers. As Brown turned right into Jim’s Automotive parking lot, Waddell was distracted and swerved to avoid hitting Brown’s 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab. Waddell’s 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan impacted the ditch on the right side of the roadway and then hit Brown’s vehicle in the rear passenger side. Waddell was transported to Corry Memorial Hospital, an affilitate of LECOM Health, for suspected minor head injury. Brown and his passenger, Theresa Brown, 45, of Corry, were wearing seatbelts, and a front facing child seat was equipped with a minor passenger in the back. No one in Brown’s vehicle was injured.
