Bond Approved To Finance UCASD Renovation Project
By Chris Lash
It’s been a busy month for Union City School Board members as they have kept up and approved items regarding the districts renovation project to the Middle-High School, and the districts administrations office. The latest is the approval to authorize the General Obligation Bonds to finance the renovation projects. The bond was a total of 8.5 million.
Residents can always view the bond at the district offices at 107 Concord Street during open hours from 9 to 4 weekdays.
Last month the board approved the resolution on the bonds, and in a busy May meeting, the lowest bids from contractors on the project. Approved were contractors for roofing, heating and air, electrical wiring, plumbing and more.
